Writing Lead: How to Write for High
Times

I'm going to try my very best to write this post without a
single pot smoking pun.
As I mentioned in myAskMen.compost, I want to give you guys some non content site
writing leads from time to time. This time I'm recommending popular marijuana themed magazineHigh Times.
Obviously, this won't be for everyone.
Some people have personal or political objections to the substance, but for those
of you who don't have any such issue, this publication is a good
option.
You can also always write
under a pen name, if you don't want to be associated with a pot publication.
High Times accepts queries and submissions from freelance writers in a number of
formats. Most notably, they accept feature articles and interviews,
between 1,500 to 3,00 words in length, for $500-$1,000, and "buzz" articles (their pun, not mine), which are
100 to 800 word pieces, which include entertainment coverage, columns and reviews. Buzz articles pay
$50-$300.
High Times also accepts photos (paying $50-$400) and illustrations
($100-$500).
