This is why we can't have nice
things.
Looks like spammers went hog wild on the forum and it had to be taken down.
Actually, I had already taken it off the left navigation and menu and tried to make it no longer a part of the site
because I was finding that I didn't have the time to police it and really run it properly with everything else I
have going on. At that point there were just one or two innocuous pieces of spam...Click Here to Read the Full Article

Ever since Yahoo purchased
Associated Content six months ago, people have speculated on what it might become. The answer may have
just arrived, in the form of the Yahoo Contributor
Network.
Unfortunately, the answer isn't particularly innovative or exciting for writers
hoping there'd be a big shake up and an increase in rates...Click Here to Read the Full Article

For whatever reason or set of
reasons (glitches, CEs no longer having quotas, alignment of
stars), Demand Media Studios articles have lately been moving through the queue at about the pace of an 80
year old walking through thick mud.
Now, your articles will eventually be reviewed. That's a guarantee. But that's
cold comfort when the bills are due and you're looking at articles stuck in the awaiting review column.

their willingness to go above and beyond to satisfy. While it’s important not to let every rewrite request expire,
as doing so can get you into trouble with the Demand Media powers that be, it’s just as foolish to try to make good
on every request...Click Here to Read the

If you write for Demand Media Studios long enough, no matter how gifted
you may be, you'll eventually get an unreasonable rewrite request or find an article has
been rejected.
No one likes when this happens, but it's inevitable. The important thing is to
know that Demand Studios rejected articles and abandoned rewrites don't have to result in wasted time and
effort...Click Here to Read Full

As all Demand Studios writers should know by
now, the references you choose matter. It's pretty much the one thing that determines your research
score. Well, that and in cite attributions (i.e. "According to _____").
Now, I don't recommend any Demand Media Studios writer take their scorecards too
seriously. If you check them all the time and spend a lot of time worrying about them, you'll not only drive
yourself crazy but you'll cut into your writing time.
But the fact of the matter is that they do count...Click Here to Read the Full
