Demand Studios Special Assignment

Many new Demand Studios writers don't realize that the
writing opportunities at Demand extend further than just the basic titles in the queue. In fact, there are many
times that Demand Media will partner with another company to produce content for them, creating special
assignments.
These Demand Studios special assignments are often not announced, except through
emails to automatically approved writers.
Even if you're not selected automatically, however, you have a chance to write
for some of these projects.
To apply for Demand Media Studios special assignments, go to the forums and find
the "Special Assignments" forum. (To get to the forums, on your Work Desk, put your mouse over the Resources tab
and click on General Forum.)
You'll find many threads asking for writers to apply for special projects.
Don't be confused by the top thread, which says "Check Here Often For Updated Special Assignments." That's just
referring to the board itself, not that particular thread.
Pay close attention to the requirements, and if you meet them and are interested
in the assignment, apply as requested. Usually you'll just respond to the thread expressing your interest and
briefly outlining your experience on the topic. Sometimes they'll ask you to send an email.
It has been my personal experience that the sooner you reply, the greater your
chances of being approved, so check the Special Assignments forum regularly.
Another article claiming tip, there seems to be a glitch which sometimes
auto-selects rates while finding assignments. This can mess up your search if you're unaware of it, making it look
like there aren't available titles when there are in fact plenty.
For instance, if you're looking for fact sheet articles and it has auto-selected
$15 as the rate, you won't turn up anything.
I haven't seen this glitch mentioned anywhere, so thought I should point it out.
It's a nuisance, but if you keep your eye on the rates when you search you'll be fine.
Oh, and I added several more websites to the "Freelance Writing Work - Demand
Studios Alternatives" article. There are now eleven writing sites in all, and there are plenty more to come. Look
for more soon, probably later this week.
And now for another wacky, kinda sorta related video.
