Demand Media Removing eHow Revenue Share
Articles

Posted On 2/2/11:
Every now and then we get an email from a Demand Media
Studios writer informing us of some news or bit of information concerning what they're going through writing for
Demand Studios.
This week we got two emails from two different Demand Studios writers, both of
whom report that they have had revenue share articles removed without warning.
Both said these articles were written as Demand Studios freelancers, and not as
eHow user submitted work.
They noticed the articles had stopped earning money and when
they did a search using the exact title nothing came up. Both then contacted the help desk and were informed
that the articles had been removed because they "were no longer deemed a good fit for the site."
They were also both told that they should have been automatically informed, issued
an apology that that didn't occur and assured that in the future they would be told as soon as the article came
down should this happen again.
Neither were given further insight into why the articles were deemed a bad fit
after all this time. Both of their stories were nearly identical, so we're guessing there was a sweep
done.
If you've written Demand Studios revenue share articles it's a good idea to go
ahead and do a search for any that aren't earning money. Make sure they are still online. If they've been removed
contact the help desk to find out what's going on. You can republish them elsewhere if they were in fact pulled
from eHow (one of the writers who contacted us inquired about this and was given the okay).
If your articles are going to be yanked you might as well know about it and have
the opportunity to earn from it elsewhere. Otherwise what's the point of writing revenue share articles in the
first place?
